Street Crimes Growing in Landikotal

LANDIKOTAL: Street Crimes rapidly growing in Landikotal as another person was deprived of cash and a cell phone in Landikotal on Sunday night, sources said on Monday.

The sources said that a polio worker identified as Hizram Shinwari, son of Fazeel Khan, was on his way home when unknown criminals near Totikhel village in Sheikhmalkhel locality stopped him and tortured him.
According to the police, he was capping and being tortured with gun butts around 10 p.m. The criminals took Rs. 20,000 and his cell phone from him and fled. He was later taken to the district hospital for medical treatment.
Two days ago, dacoits deprived a trader of $0.3 million at the Landikotal bypass road and fled from the scene. Traders threatened to close down their offices at Torkham and stop import and export via the Torkham border if they were not provided security. 
Citizens also showed concern over the growing crimes in Landikotal. They said they could not come out of their homes after Maghrib’s time, dude, to help the criminals. Asfandyar Shinwari said dacoits also looted a number of houses in the past few days in Landikotal, but police failed to arrest them.
