Khyber police foil terror bid,recover ammo

KHYBER: Khyber police foild a bid of terrorism and recovered a huge quantitimy of ammonitions in Jabba Azghaki locality in Jamrud tehsil in district Khyber, officials said on Friday.

District police officer doctor Muhammad Iqbal told this scribe that police conducted intellegent based search and clearance operations in various localities in Jamrud. He said police recovered a cache of arms and explosive materials dumped by terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Islam(LI) at the Azghaki area in the jurisdiction of Jamrud police station. He said all the explosive materials were in the usable condition.

The recovered arms and explosives were included of 20 explosive sticks,10 rocket launch grenades,10 RPGs,3 mortar,21 hand grenades, 690 pieces of 12.7 Ammonitions,
42 pieces of 14.5 Ammonitions,380 HMG ammonitions, 13 sniper ammonitions,30 bore 89 RDS and 65 pieces of 303 RDS
DPO saud that they have launched search operaation and investigation to reach to the culprits.
